Mamba's First Grandbabies
I had the honour of witnessing the birthing of Mamba's first grandbabies at Taigha Cattery in Edenvale, Johannesburg. After attending the weekend at the Judges Symposium with Lucy Arends-Wagner, Gr Ch Mai-Thai's Blue Moon of Taigha aka Luna surprised us with 6 beautiful babies - black and brown spotted tabby Orientals. I look forward to watching them develop, Lucy!

Kapie's First Litter
We are very proud to introduce the first litter sired by our Dutch Siamese import "Kapie". At the tender age of 2 years 2 months Kapie finally succeeded in producing 3 beautiful babies including a gorgeous Siamese boy - the first Siamese born at Mai-Thai since our Y litter born 1 April 2012. Needless to say he will stay at Mai-Thai to take over from his dad!

Olive's Second Show
All Breeds Cat Club held their last show of the year on 18 October. Mai-Thai's Olive was nominated top 5 Kittens on Show as Best in Show Kitten Qualifier and Ch Mai-Thai's Spot On became a Grand Champion.

Cape Top Cat 2014
Db Sup Pr Mai-Thai's Take That NQ aka Robbie came 9th in the Neuter Section at Cape Top Cat 2014. Congratulations to his owner Charlene Du Toit. On exhibition was Mai-Thai's Wild Olive, doted on by young Kate Bolton while my sister and I took the official photographs of all the qualifiers on the day :-)

Olive's first show
Western Province Cat Club held it's 115th Championship Show in Cape Town on Saturday 23 August. Mai-Thai's Olive competed in her very first show and was judged by SACC All Breeds Judge Jane Slabbert. She was nominated and competed in the Best in Show Kitten line-up and was awarded Best of Breed Oriental amid very stiff competition at the tender age of only 4 months! So proud of her achievement! Am also proud to announce that Mai-Thai's Black Swan is now a Supreme Champion!

Lulu qualifies for COTY
Siamlove Ooh-La-La Lulu was judged Best Siamese/Oriental Kitten at the TCS show and qualified in second place as one of the 4 kitten qualifiers for Cat of the Year. Congrats Elizabeth and Hennie!
Runner-up Best Siamese/Oriental Kitten was Mai-Thai's Blue Moon of Taigha and third was Mai-Thai's Black Jack - all top 3 sired by Mamba! Am so proud of all Mamba's babies!!!!

Mamba's babies win at SACC Kitten Show
Siamlove Ooh-La-La Lulu, Black Oriental female spay bred by Elizabeth van Renen and owned by Hennie Greyling, won Cat of the Day at the SACC Kitten Show amidst very stiff competition. Lulu was also judged Best Siamese/Oriental kitten on Show and also received two judges' favourite rosettes from SACC All Breeds Judges Beryl Webber and Jan van Rooyen.
Mai-Thai's Blue Moon of Taigha, Blue Oriental female owned by Lucy Arends-Wagner was nominated and along with Lulu made round 2.
Mai-Thai's Black Jack, Black Oriental male neuter owned by Ruchan Fourie, did well getting 2 firsts and 1 second placing in his Oriental Male kitten class.
Also on show was Mai-Thai's Nutella, Havana female owned by Hennie Greyling, and along with her sister Luna and brother Jack was judged Best Litter on Show! A first at Mai-Thai!
Am so proud of all Mamba's babies and they particularly shined at this show :-)

3 Times a Charm!
Luna (Mai-Thai's Blue Moon of Taigha) was judged 7th Best Cat on Show and Best Siamese/Oriental Overall on the Provincial Cat Society show in Durban on 3 May. Well done Lucy and Luna! This is Luna's third consecutive win :-)

Luna does it again!
Luna (Mai-Thai's Blue Moon of Taigha - owned by Lucy Arends-Wagner) was judged Best Siamese/Oriental Kitten at the CFC show amidst stiff competition which included her brother Jack (Mai-Thai's Black Jack owned by Ruchan Fourie) who was runner-up Best Siamese/Oriental Kitten. This is the second time Luna has won Best Siamese/Oriental kitten to date. Well done Lucy!
Theresa Fouche once again did a super job with the photo's of Luna with her Easter theme! Thanks Theresa!

Luna shines at Kimberley show

Mai-Thai's Blue Moon aka "Luna" competed at the Northern Cape Free State Cat show in Kimberley on 12 April and was awarded Best Siamese/Oriental on show and 9th Best Cat on Show. Thanks to her owner Lucy Arends-Wagner for showing her in such super condition! She has turned into a lovely young female and most possibly the best type I have ever bred! Thanks to renowned photographer Theresa Fouche for taking such a lovely photo of her on the day. It is so nice to see my babies developing so nicely especially when they are so far away from me. Well done Lucy and Luna :-)

Black Jack - the Superstar!
Mai-Thai's Black Jack (owned by Ruchan Fourie) was runner-up Best Siamese/Oriental Kitten at the Breeders of Rex & Sphynx show in Edenvale on 5 April. Am so proud! Well done Ruchan and Jack! Ruchan also managed to have professional photo's taken by cat show photographer Theresa Fouche. Thanks Theresa! I love them! He looks sooooo much like his dad Mamba!
It was also Mai-Thai's Blue Moon's (owned by Lucy Arends-Wagner) debut show. She was 4th Best Sia/Ori kitten on show amidst stiff competition. All the best with her next show Lucy!

So proud of all 3 of Mamba's babies on show today! All 3 were nominated (thank you judges!) Congrats Hennie Greyling on Siamlove Ooh La La Lulu for winning Best Sia/Ori kitten and judged Runner-up Best Kitten on Show and Mai-Thai's Nutella for being judged 4th Best Sia/Ori kitten on Show. Thanks to Ruchan Fourie on Mai-Thai's Black Jack winning 3rd Best Sia/Ori kitten and for keeping me up-to-date on the show results today!
