Katzo models for Hill's
So proud o Charlene's Katzo as poster child for the latest Hills Pet Nutrition ad campaign :-) Spotted this ad in the latest YOU magazine and it also appears in the latest Fairlady. The posters and ads are up in all the vet clinics.
Well done Charlene for getting him to pose so nicely for the camera. Our boy has done us proud!

All About Cats October/November 2012
My Cat of the Year write-up about Mamba's win as published in the latest All About Cats magazine . . .
“Mamba”, Sup Ch Xtreme Dream Sultan Chan*SK of Mai-Thai (Imp) NW (Black Oriental Shorthair male) qualified for Cat of the Year in the top 8 Entires in the Western Cape. I drove up to Kimberley from Cape Town with Charlene Du Toit and her beloved “Katzo”, Triple Sup Pr Mai-Thai’s Catsanova NQ RQ (Seal Tabby Point Siamese bred by myself) who qualified in the top 8 Neuters. “Mamba” was placed first by both the international judges Andreas Kretschmer-Kraiczek and Aline Noel and second and fourth by South African All Breeds judges Gail Nel and Ngaio Crawley respectively. I couldn’t have wished for better results! He won Best Entire and joint winner overall, sharing the title for the first time in the history of SACC!
A BIG Thanks to his breeder Andrea Bednarova, of Sultan Chan Cattery in Slovakia, for entrusting me with my black snake! “Mamba” comes from a good line of winners. His sire is World Winner 2009 Int Ch Otello D’Oltremare JW and his grandsire is World Winner 2006 & 2007 Sup Ch Michelangelo D’Oltremare bred by Simone Caratozzolo, Italy.
A BIG Thank You to NCFS Cat Club for my first ever SACC COTY National Winner! He has made me so proud and nothing can top this winning! My only hope is to breed another COTY winner from him in the near future.

Mamba 4th Top Entire at Cape Top Cat
Mamba competed in the top 10 Entires at Cape Top Cat in Stellenberg on Saturday 15 September 2012. He was awarded 4th position and Best Charm :-) A Big thanks to the CTC organisers for a lovely show. Mamba is now officially retired from the show bench after only 6 months of showing.

COTY Winner Mamba on Exhibition at WPCC Show
Mamba aka Sup Ch Xtreme Dream Sultan Chan*SK of Mai-Thai (Imp) NW was on exhibition at the Western Province Cat Club Championship Show on Sat 25 August. Mamba will compete in the Entire section as top 10 Entires in the Western Cape at Cape Top Cat on 15 September.

Mamba wins Cat of the Year 2012
Sup Ch Xtreme Dream Sultan Chan *SK of Mai-Thai (Imp) is now a National Winner! Mamba was awarded top honours as SACC Entire of the Year as well as joint SACC Cat of the Year 2012 in Kimberley. My biggest thank you to his breeder Andrea Bednarova of Sultan Chan Cattery in Slovakia for making my dreams come true! A great achievement for the Oriental breed in South Africa!

My Siamese on Woef & Kie
A Big thank you to Anita Erasmus from Everland Productions for interviewing me for Woef & Kie on DSTV's Kyknet channel. I was so nervous and kept fluffing my "lines" but I think it turned out pretty well! Thanks to Marlene van Dyk for the use of her lovely home. Mai-Thai cats featured: Sup Ch Mai-Thai's Ariel (Chocolate Tabby Point), Gr Ch MyEden's Coco Chanel DM (Seal Point), Gr Ch Mai-Thai's Glamourous (Seal Tabby Point) and the Seal Point kitten Mai-Thai's Who's That Girl.

The WPCC Show Catalogue published my photo on the cover! Nice tribute to my stud Alfie whose babies are on the cover!

Mamba was on show and he gained his Grand Champion title :-)

Mai-Thai Cattery in the newspaper
Was happy to have my very own photo published in my local newspaper TableTalk to advertise the Western Province Cat Club Show held on 19 May at the Monte Vista/Edgemead Community Centre. Everyone wanted to know where the kittens and mom were. Unfortunately Rosie was not on show and the kittens were only 8 weeks old so far too young to be on show. Nevertheless, very proud to see my own photo in the paper! The same pic was also used on the show catalogue cover. See above.

RIP Alfie
I am saddened at the sudden loss of my beloved stud Alfie. Words cannot describe how I feel today. My worst fears came true when I found him dead in his run this morning. My heart is truly broken :-(
Alfie has done the Siamese breed very proud and I am forever indebted to his breeder Koos Hendriks at Koosje van Tutte cattery, Netherlands, for entrusting him to me. Your generosity and trust will never be forgotten, Koos.
Alfie lives on in all his babies.

RIP Chala
Am devastated to announce the loss of Lucy's beloved Chala today :-( Lucy had to make the hard decision to put her to sleep after the vet found a mass in her abdomen which he suspected was most likely cancerous. Her lungs had filled with fluid and her breathing was rapid and laboured.
Chala was a fighter and was purring right till the very end . . .
This comes as a shock to all of us and Chala has otherwise been healthy and successfully had two litters of beautiful babies. Chala will be sorely missed :-( Her legacy lives on in her daughter Rosie and her progeny. Chala was also my first ever COTY qualifier. Her brother Katzo will carry the Siamese flag high at COTY this year in the Neuter section! Am soooooo very proud of my babies!

Mamba's First Show
Mamba has Championed at his first show. All Breeds Cat Club's 90th Championship Show at Stellenberg Dutch Reformed Church in Durbanville.
He was also nominated and was a Best on Show Entire Qualifier (Top 5 Entires on show). So proud of my boy :-))))
